SUMMARY

The Associate Human Resources Business Partner supports a wide range of human resources activities, including recruitment, payroll administration, operational processes, and tactical HR operations.  This role works closely with plant leadership to address day‑to‑day HR needs and support operational effectiveness.

Salary Range: $69,120 to $95,040 (inclusive of bonus opportunities)

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

May include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Responds to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs
  • Coordinates the full recruitment lifecycle for all hourly positions, from requisition through hire and onboarding.  This includes recruiting efforts (participation in college career fairs and job fairs), interviews, offers, and HR onboarding
  • Conducts new-hire HR orientations and fosters positive impressions of the business unit
  • Administers hourly compensation and benefits programs, including years‑of‑service wage adjustments and employee recognition programs (e.g., Employee of the Month)
  • Administers employee recognition events and participates in activities that promote a positive and welcoming work environment
  • Supports leaders with the coordination of temporary personnel and serves as the primary point of contact with staffing vendors
  • Administers bi‑weekly timekeeping through Workday, including reconciliation of payroll adjustments with Corporate Payroll for two facilities (hourly and salaried populations); serves as the system administrator for plant time and attendance processing
  • Responds to payroll‑related inquiries from department leaders and Human Resources; records, tracks, and processes payroll deductions and reimbursements (e.g., safety boots/shoes, prescription safety glasses)
  • Manages local HR administrative responsibilities, including the work permit process, benefits open enrollment, and employee attendance follow‑up, as well as HR‑related invoicing, communication tools, and system maintenance (e.g., digital displays)
  • Any additional duties and tasks as required

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree with two plus years of professional experience in a HR generalist role with knowledge and/or exposure to recruiting, employee compensation, payroll and benefits
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality, high level of attention to detail and adaptability to changing business requirements
  • Good communication and organizational skills
  • Able to work with people in various levels within the organization
  • Demonstrates a high proficiency in using various applications, including MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), Workday, and internet applications
  • Must be in the office Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5pm
