SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Position has full supervisory responsibility for recruitment, hiring, retention, performance development, performance management, salary adjustments, and termination of direct reports.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The following duties and responsibilities generally reflect the expectations of this position but are not intended to be all-inclusive.
Establishes strategic direction, goals, and action plans for App Dev project management capability area. Measures accomplishments, ensures appropriate execution, and celebrates success.
Overall accountability for leadership and management of project professional teammates. Ensuring that roles/responsibilities and performance measures of success are established and clearly communicated. Holds team accountable for delivery of goals and demonstrating behaviors that align with DaVita's Mission and Values.
Establishes, maintains and continuously improves processes and standards for all aspects of project planning and execution in area of responsibility.
Ensuring accurate and complete project estimations are developed.
Partners closely with Development Management, Quality Management and Program Management to achieve successful project initiation and execution across portfolio of application development projects.
Responsible for the department budget
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education, licenses, certifications, and experience required to fulfill the essential duties, include computer skills as required.
Bachelor degree in IT, Business or related field, Master degree preferred.
10+ years of related experience with at least 5 of those years leading custom application development in a rapidly growing business environment. Healthcare experience strongly preferred.
Strong critical thinking and leadership skills. Must be demonstrated and substantiated by references
Proven success as a change agent and building and motivating a strong project management organization is required.
Excellent communication skills to include oral, written and listening. Communicates clearly and frequently. Actively listens.
Ability to build and maintain positive relationships to include effective conflict management.
General business skills, ability to understand financials.
Strong problem analysis and decision-making skills.
Hands on leadership style, strong work ethic, and adaptive influencing skills.
Must be flexible to meet constantly changing needs of the business.
