Overview
The HR Specialist I is the initial point of contact for HR transactions and questions providing support to deliver a positive team member experience. The role works closely with internal and external stakeholders to execute tier I level people transactions that span the entire HR cycle.
What you will do
- Reviews and responds to HR queries of employees and leaders, utilizing the HR case management system.
- Provide support for inquiries around HR related processes, policies, and issues.
- Accurately performs administrative tasks related, but not limited to onboarding, offboarding, job changes, benefits, compensation, etc.
- Completes Workday transactions as needed.
- Supports requests for employee data (e.g. alumni paystub request, wage, and separation forms, etc.).
- Assists with annual HR initiatives (e.g. open enrollment process).
Qualifications
Education
- High School Diploma or GED, (Required)
- Bachelors Degree, Human Resources or Related Field (Preferred)
Experience
- 1 year HR or relevant experience (Required)
- 3-4 years customer service experience (Required)
- Experience with HCM Workday and/or HR case management systems (Preferred)
Licenses and Certifications
- PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SCP (Preferred)
