About the Role

We are looking for a highly adaptable and detail-oriented HR Operations & Payroll Executive to support our APAC region. This role is ideal for someone early in their HR career who is eager to learn and build strong foundations across HR operations, Workday processes, payroll coordination, and basic industrial relations support.
 

You will be the first point of contact for employee data management in Workday, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and seamless employee lifecycle experiences.

Key Responsibilities

Workday & HR Data Management

  • Maintain accurate employee data in Workday, ensuring timely updates for hires, movements, transfers, contract changes, and exits.
  • Support creation of Workday transactions, business process monitoring, and follow-ups with stakeholders.
  • Assist in generating simple HR reports and dashboards from Workday.
  • Perform routine audits to ensure data quality and system compliance.

Payroll Support (APAC)

  • Prepare and validate monthly payroll inputs extracted from Workday.
  • Liaise with payroll vendors to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing.
  • Support payroll reconciliations, statutory filings, and internal audits.
  • Handle employee queries related to payroll, tax, and leave balances.

HR Operations

  • Deliver day-to-day HR administrative support, including preparing HR letters, managing personnel files, and coordinating onboarding/offboarding.
  • Track probation, contract renewals, visa renewals, and other employee lifecycle activities through Workday.
  • Support benefits administration such as enrollments, renewals, and vendor coordination.

Industrial Relations (IR) Support

  • Assist in documentation for performance-related discussions, disciplinary cases, and compliance matters.
  • Help schedule meetings, prepare minutes, and track follow-up actions.
  • Maintain basic understanding of employment regulations across APAC markets (training provided).

Requirements

  • Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or related field.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in HR operations, HRIS, payroll coordination, or related roles (internships included).
  • Experience with Workday – even basic navigation or data entry is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage employees and vendors across multiple countries.
  • Fast learner, agile and comfortable adapting to evolving processes.
  • High attention to detail and strong sense of responsibility when handling confidential data.
  • Proficient in MS Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables preferred).
