About Us

At Baxter, we're building agile, employee-centered HR that powers our mission. We're hiring a hands-on, curious and self-driven HR Operations Manager to lead payroll and admin for all Belgian entities.

This is a key role at the heart of our business: ensuring every employee is paid accurately, on time, and in full compliance—while driving smarter processes every day.

Role Overview

Own the full payroll and HR admin scope for Belgium. Lead a dedicated team, coach them to grow, and build a robust, modern local HR Operations model.

We're looking for someone who rolls up their sleeves, dives into details, challenges the status quo, and pushes improvements with confidence and curiosity.

You'll also contribute to constructive social dialogue with unions, representing HR Operations professionally.

What You Will Do

  • Lead and coach an HR Ops team focused on accountability, learning, and excellence.

  • Run end-to-end payroll: accuracy, compliance, timeliness across Belgian sites.

  • Implement localized comp & benefits with global and local partners.

  • Optimize HRIS/payroll tools, automate, and cut manual work.

  • Ensure compliance, reporting, data security, and stay ahead of regulatory changes—tracking social/tax updates to keep us fully compliant.

  • Drive system efficiency and digital improvements.

  • Be the go-to expert for employee questions—with empathy, clear guidance and expertise.

  • Lead constructive interactions with unions and representatives

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Finance, Accounting or related field (certifications a plus).

  • 8+ years of payroll experience (3+ years in leading teams), ideally multinational.

  • Deep Belgian payroll, tax, and labor law expertise.

  • Hands‑on problem-solver, curious, and proactive mindset who thrives on process improvements.

  • Team development experience; comfortable with unions/social relations.

  • Analytical, detail-oriented, data-confident with HRIS tools.

  • Clear communicator who builds trust at all levels.
