Position

We are seeking an HR Analyst to join the Generalist team supporting the Investment Platform. The HR Analyst will work with the Human Resource Relationship Managers (HRRMs), managers and employees to provide HR strategy and support across the seven investment groups. The HR Analyst will have the opportunity to work across multiple HR areas including talent strategy, performance management and compensation, talent development, employee relations, culture and community, and diversity, equity and inclusion. 

The HR Analyst will have the following responsibilities:

Talent Management

  • Work with HRRMs, managers and employees to support various talent activities such as employee transitions, compensation analytics, drafting skill-based development plans, execution of performance management processes, etc.
  • Data and analytical project requests. Liaise with the Data Management and Talent Analytics team to drive data and analytical projects focused on employee trend analysis like diversity, historical trends, etc.
  • Partner with employees, managers, HRRMs, and our Global Mobility function to support ad hoc questions, talent projects, and global relocation and immigration needs
  • Support the onboarding and assimilation of new joiners/interns to ensure successful connectivity and engagement

Strategic Talent Projects

  • Partner with Specialist teams across HR and Finance to lead our team’s global and platform-wide coordination to critical HR processes including performance management processes, compensation studies, culture and community initiatives, employee engagement studies, and diversity, equity and inclusion.  He/she will support the team to ensure deadlines and deliverables are met and the team’s collaboration tools and relevant information for these processes are efficiently organized.
  • Act as project manager for strategic talent projects and initiatives
  • Provide HR reporting and analysis for the HRRMs and managers. Analyzes talent data for trends and patterns with attention to DEI, recruitment, hiring practices, motivation, turnover, and compliance with employment laws and regulations.

Growth and Development

  • Staying intellectually curious and current on important HR topics for the business, both on an as needed basis for clients and for their own skill development as an HR practitioner is a critical skill. This may include reading HR publications, building HR certifications, building professional skills, and expanding knowledge on the asset management industry.
  • Over time, this role may expand leadership opportunities into areas such as independent coverage of particular areas of the business and be an HR Advisor to our Business Networks.

This team provides high touch HR business partnership for an important part of the business.  This is a terrific opportunity to develop and hone deep human resources skills and learn about the investment management business within a globally supportive team. This position is based in Boston.

Requirements

It is important that the ideal candidate is analytical, collaborative, an effective communicator and intellectually curious. The desire to both work independently and be resourceful to ‘figure things out’ with sound judgement is an important part of joining this high functioning global team. Additional qualifications include:

  • 5+ years of experience in Human Resources / People Strategy required; Asset Management or Professional Services experience preferred
  • College degree required in Human Resources Management, Human Capital Management, Business Administration, Analytics, Economics, or a related field of study
  • Ability to handle a high paced environment, be flexible and prioritize multiple demands, have a strong work ethic
  • Exceptional project and change management experience – results driven self-starter who can lead projects from inception through delivery
  • Ability to build strong relationships and a proven track record of positively collaborating with key stakeholders
  • Excellent communication, both written and verbal. Must be comfortable speaking up - ask good questions, drive clarity, and influence when necessary
  • Creative and pragmatic problem solver with ability frame issues, identify important points, synthesize, and draw conclusions
  • Ability to have a high attention to detail, manage large quantities of data, and arrange and analyze information to identify patterns and root causes.
  • High proficiency and desire to learn MS Office (Excel, Power Point, Word) and Collaboration Tools (OneNote and Teams) is a requirement.

At Wellington Management, our approach to compensation is designed to help us attract, inspire and retain the best talent in our industry. We strive to pay employees fairly and competitively across all levels and roles. Our approach to compensation considers all aspects of total compensation; all employees are eligible to receive salary, variable compensation, and benefits. The base salary range for this position is:

USD 80,000 - 150,000

This range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered when making compensation decisions, including but not limited to skill sets; role; skills and experience; certifications; and education. This range is an estimate, and further details on salary and total compensation aspects will be shared with candidates during the recruitment process.   

 

Base salary is only one component of Wellington’s total compensation approach. Other rewards may include a discretionary Corporate Bonus and/ or Incentives, if eligible.
