Job Description:

HPE Networking – Juniper Deal Desk Pricing Analyst

The HPE Networking AMS (Americas) Juniper Pricing Team is the frontline engagement between the Field teams (Sales & Management) and the HPE Networking Pricing organization. This position will act as a point of escalation for the Field Sales and Field Sales Management approving Non-Standard Pricing Deals. This role will heavily focus on pricing analysis on high-touch, strategic deals, along with very high level of interaction with the Sales and Finance organizations, IT, and Operations. The analyst will need to become familiar and fluent in all internal sales tools (SAP, Salesforce and Oracle CPQ systems), processes and practices to provide exemplary sales support and pricing related guidance. The Analyst will form part of the AMS Pricing Team, Juniper, and will report to the Juniper portfolio Pricing Management within the HPE Networking org.

Responsibilities:

  • Review, analyze and approve Non-Standard Pricing requests within AMS Juniper portfolio, provide guidance and negotiate with the sales team/pricing team to reach final pricing agreement
  • Collaborate with extended teams to accurately assess and price cross-portfolio deals
  • Engage with Field Sales Management and the AMS Sales VP to review and negotiate deals, providing high level summary and pertinent decision-making information
  • Identify potential issues and problems with tools or process and escalate them for resolution to prevent interruption to the work of the sales team
  • Liaises with the extended HPE Networking Pricing function to contribute the overall systems management framework, including policies, documentation, training and audit plans, to ensure efficiency and performance
  • This role requires that the successful candidate has a strong sense of urgency and accountability, will quickly become an SME on the various pricing methodologies and immerse themselves in HPE Networking GTM, quarterly forecasting, CPQ best practices and ensures the smooth operations of the HPE Juniper Pricing Team
  • Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment and meet time sensitive deadlines.
  • Recording approval of deals in appropriate system, after ensuring all needed approvals are received.

About you:

  • The ideal candidate will be analytically minded; a decisive problem solver; focused, organized & driven; self-starter; have strong communication skills; passion & pride in their work; flexibility to adjust to requirements and ability operate in a dynamic and fast changing environment
  • 4+ years of experience directly in a pricing environment is essential
  • Strong analytical, statistics and problem-solving skills
  • A track record of leadership, escalation resolution and a keen sense of business awareness
  • Microsoft Office Suite skillset, particularly Excel
  • Experience designing and implementing policies, processes, and tools to provide operations support for sales activities
  • Understanding of and experience in applying business and sales operations practices and process design to situations
  • Using forecasting and planning methodologies to develop guidance for deploying sales and operational resources and activities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Mastery in English and local language
  • Ability to effectively communicate sales operations plans, proposals, and results, and negotiate options at management levels
  • Experience with SAP and/or Oracle CPQ systems is a plus
