Position Overview:

At our Grande Prairie TCRS location, you will play a pivotal part of a small close-knit team working on a diverse range of Caterpillar and other branded products. Location: Grande Prairie TCRS facility
Shift: 7x7 (Monday-Sunday) 12 hour days

Job Description:

  • Assist with troubleshooting and repairing Caterpillar equipment along with other mechanical equipment
  • Assist with a variety of shop repairs and diagnostics as required
  • Utilize Caterpillar SIS and ET daily
  • Complete technical documentation (service reports, warranty, crossover notes)
  • Interact with customers, sales support, and the rest of the Finning team
  • Work with the Service Supervisor and Leadhand on various tasks as required

Qualifications:

  • Interprovincial Heavy Equipment Technician (HET) Certification
  • 3rd and 4th year HET apprentices may be considered based on skills
  • Safety conscious team player with excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills with a high attention to detail
  • Drivers license and drivers abstract required

Note:

  • This position is based out of our Grande Prairie TCRS facility, on a 7x7 schedule
  • This is NOT a FIFO role
  • A condition of employment is the ability to be fit tested and the ability to wear a respirator
  • Union Membership: You are required to become a member of the Union associated with this position. This will be effective immediately and will result in union dues being deducted from your pay. The terms and conditions of your employment will be governed by the collective agreement.
