Key Responsibilities:

The qualified candidate must have a proven track record documented success that exemplifies strong strategic thinking with practical experience of driving strategy to implementation and pull through at both the account and customer levels. The qualified candidate should also have:

  • Identify business opportunities, develop complex approaches to account engagement, and execute against ACADIA’s strategic imperatives.
  • Assess and prioritize key health system opportunities based on market potential, payer influence, and strategic fit.
  • Identify, develop and advance relationships with influential & relevant operational leaders, Specialty Pharmacies and Key Medical Experts.
  • Create and manage business plans for key IDN and Health System accounts that drive patient access, adherence, and meaningful patient outcomes.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for senior-level executives within targeted systems to align shared goals and outcomes.
  • Use market data, system analytics, and competitive insights to inform strategic planning and execution.
  • Display strong understanding of the patient journey and gaps in care to effectively educate on potential EHR interventions within Centers of Excellence and IDN’s.
  • Effectively implement the medication transitions of care process within Health Systems, including system wide discharge order sets.
  • Understand P&T processes for assigned IDN’s and key institutions to assist in formulary access when needed to implement EHR interventions or medication transitions of care.
  • Conducts IDN SPP QBR’s to advance projects, overcome access barriers and identifies future opportunity.
  • Educate and actively engage Fellows & Residents to align on project development within Center of Excellence, IDN or Health System.
  • Meet expected Brand and Access Objectives that result in market share growth, while insuring compliance with assigned targeted accounts.
  • Record account information and competitive intelligence through available account management resources and tools.
  • Create access and pull through opportunities for the field sales organization within Centers of Excellence, which leads to increased compliance, market share & profits.
  • Ensures compliance with corporate policies and procedures, as well as US healthcare laws and regulations.

Skills Required:

  • Demonstrated excellence in building long-term partnerships with healthcare executives and decision-makers. Effective utilization of Acadia’s tools and resources to advance patient care
  • Proven ability to lead without authority and influence senior stakeholders across complex healthcare systems. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and business acumen, with demonstrated success developing account-level strategies that drive measurable impact. Experience in developing business-to-business collaborations that expand market access or improve patient care pathways.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong influencing and negotiating skills with both external & internal matrix.
  • Ability to conduct effective presentations of technical information concerning specific projects or timelines
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite, Smartsheet, CRM
  • Ability to analyze data, information and insight to define strategy.
  • Ability to operate independently without strong support/guidance.
  • Work well within a fast paced and dynamic environment with an ability to have an impact in a short space of time.
  • Must exhibit leadership skills, ability to perform in fast paced environments and ability to influence without authority.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, and polished executive presence required.
  • Professionalism, integrity, and the ability to comply with strict policy, work in a highly regulated environment.

Experience Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Life Sciences, or a related field required.
  • To qualify for Health Systems Manager:
    • A minimum of 8 years of experience in pharmaceuticals, life sciences, account management, or hospital sales experience.
  • Strongly Preferred:
      • Experience in CNS and Specialty Pharmacy
      • Experience with institutional and/or IDN/complex systems
  • To qualify for Senior Health Systems Manager:
    • A minimum of 12 years of experience in pharmaceuticals or life sciences
    • A minimum of 5 years in Institutional, IDN/complex health system manager, or Regional Sales Manager with a demonstration of National level leadership.
  • Demonstrated experience working with integrated delivery networks (IDNs), Centers of Excellence, and large Health Systems.
  • Prior experience developing strategic business plans, leading cross-functional account teams, and managing high-level customer relationships.
  • Experience with CNS or rare disease markets preferred.
  • Ability to travel 50-75%

Salary Ranges:

Health System Manager: $128,000-160,000

Senior Health System Manager: $158,000-197,000

Physical Requirements:

This role requires regular standing, walking, sitting, and the use of hands for handling or operating equipment. The employee may also be required to reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and maintain visual, verbal, and auditory communication both in a standard office environment and while working independently from remote locations. Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.  Ability to travel by car or airplane independently up to 75% of the time and work after hours if required by travel schedule or business issues.  Required to live within a reasonable distance to a major airport.

In addition to a competitive base salary, this position is also eligible for discretionary bonus and equity awards based on factors such as individual and organizational performance. Actual amounts will vary depending on experience, performance, and location. 

Salary Range
$158,000$197,000 USD
