About This Opportunity

We're seeking an exceptional, visionary leader to join us as Head of Treasury Middle Office, a key function within the Markets Operations Team, in a role that blends strategic influence, operational excellence, and stakeholder engagement across multiple entities and geographies.

You’ll be the driving force behind transaction management middle office activities for complex, Group Corporate Treasury (GCT) transactions and oversee cash management across 600 accounts, 40 currencies, and 7 legal entities. You’ll have responsibility for key financial control processes covering reconciliations, fee and interest claim management. You'll lead the relationship management of a number of supplier relationships and forge close links with the Group’s external auditors. Your decisions will shape the efficiency, resilience, and success of Markets Operations and the wider LBG Markets business.

Reporting into the Markets Operations Director, the team sits within the Chief Operating Office of the Corporate and Institutional Bank, providing advisory and post trade support for clients and key partners across a range of complex markets products.

You'll join Corporate & Institutional Banking at a pivotal time of change as we continue to transform the business for our clients.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead and Inspire: Direct a multi-disciplinary team, encouraging a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

  • Own the Strategy: Set the vision for the Treasury Middle Office function, aligning with collaborators and Group priorities.

  • Deliver Impact: Manage operational risk, optimise processes, and ensure compliance with global standards.

  • Build Relationships: Represent the function at key committees, strengthen partnerships internally and externally, and influence industry guidelines.

What You'll Bring

  • Deep expertise in Markets & Treasury operations, with strong product and risk knowledge.

  • A thirst to innovate and automate

  • Proven leadership of technical, complex teams and the ability to translate strategy into action.

  • Proficiency in risk management, compliance, and performance frameworks.

  • A collaborative influencer who thrives in a fast-paced, global environment.
