This role combines leadership of the Market Access team in the Netherlands with regional coordination responsibilities across North Europe. The position holder will lead all activities necessary to obtain and maintain reimbursement and patient access for Sanofi products across different therapeutic areas in the Netherlands, while also advising on North Europe market access strategy.
The role reports to the Head of Corporate Affairs North Europe and involves close cross-functional collaboration with all business units, franchises, medical and other functions.

Main responsibilities:
Netherlands Market Access Leadership:
- Lead the Market Access team in the Netherlands, providing support for team performance and development
- Formulate strategic direction for the Market Access approach, anticipating reimbursement and financing requirements for future products
- Participate in specific working groups of Dutch Industry associations (VIG Holland bio) as the designated market access head, providing expertise on pricing, reimbursement, and payer strategy in the Netherlands
- Cultivate and drive effective collaboration with key external stakeholders in government & regulatory bodies, such as Zorginstituut Nederland, the Ministry of Health cabinet, payer advisory boards & health insurers to advance market access objectives
North Europe MCO Coordination:
- Develop and implement North Europe market access strategy in close collaboration and alignment with local MA teams
- Advise on NE market access insights, including country prioritization over the next three years and resource allocation
- Assess key trends, systemic changes, and major access barriers impacting North Europe
- Collaborate closely with North Europe Public Affairs Coordinator and Trade & Revenue Management Head
Global Collaboration & Excellence:
- Partner with Global Market Access & Corporate Affairs Excellence teams to align local and global initiatives
- Facilitate knowledge sharing and best practices across countries, including pricing, analytics, and innovative pricing solutions
- Support strategic projects for future market access
Talent Development & Organizational Performance:
- Support North Europe Market Access talent development and enhance organizational performance
- Lead horizon scanning, product patrimony management, and market access capability building
- Leverage Global Market Access Academy in collaboration with P&C and internal stakeholders
About you
- Master's degree in Pharmaceutical, Biological or Life Sciences subject; MD or PhD preferred
- Proven track record in medical/commercial positions, preferably in international organizations
- Demonstrable experience formulating/implementing reimbursement strategies and market access
- Strong understanding of health economics issues and current developments
- Established network of contacts in market access field, nationally and across North Europe
- Experience in regional coordination and multi-country strategy development
- Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills
- Ability to research, analyze, write and deliver high-level reimbursement dossiers
- Proven people management experience
- Ability to build sustainable relationships within organization and with external stakeholders
- Strong stakeholder management skills across multiple countries
- Organized, efficient and able to work under pressure to strict deadlines
- Ability to operate in cross-cultural and complex matrix environment
- Integrity, analytical thinking, problem-solving orientation, results-driven, self-organized
- Excellent command of English and Dutch, both verbal and written
