The role includes the following:
Essential Functions*
Lead, manage and develop the Payroll and HR Operations teams to achieve their goal of being a trusted and knowledgeable team,
Act as the first point of contact for HR Shared Services support and be responsible for establishing and preserving strong relationships with internal clients and external parties, providing accurate and timely customer service
Responsible for delivering quality HR Shared Service support and advice to all MUFG employees and HR in a growing EU market
Act as a senior subject matter expert and main point of contact for MBE HR and payroll operational matters
Responsible for managing the resolution of customer issues and requests in the case management system (CMT), within agreed SLAs, working within the wider HR team on more complex matters that fall within the remit of the HR Shared Services team
Responsible for implementing global/regional projects aimed at improving and standardizing operational processes
Responsible and accountable for ensuring HR Shared Services Processes are compliant with all regulatory, policy and legislative requirements, and support the delivery of SOX controls which fall within the HR remit.
Responsible for coaching and supporting Managers across the business to resolve routine queries with support on escalated cases from within the HR Shared Services team where required
Responsible for acting as the escalation point for complex Payroll and HR Operations
Ensure delivery of internal and external audits relating to Payroll and HR Operations, and responsible for relevant remediation activities
Act as key liaison for HR on Payroll and HR Operations matters
Oversee outsourcing management with the Company’s Global Mobility service providers and EMEA team
Being accountable for suggesting, designing and implementing process improvements and efficiencies for the HR Shared Services team to improve working practices, ensuring regional/global framework alignment. Design creative solutions that contribute to achieving MUFG’s vision and strategy
In order to be successful in the role, you will need the following:
Skills and experience:
Technical Capability
Experience in managing a team within a shared services environment, preferably within financial services or another regulated sector.
Experience working in an international (matrix) organization, managing teams and stakeholders in different locations.
Strong stakeholders’ management skills, demonstrated ability to establish and utilize a network of effective relationships within a global setting
Having the ability to communicate effectively, informatively and with sensitivity, with a wide range of employees to maintain confidentiality and inspire trust.
Broad knowledge and understanding of employment legislation and payroll
Demonstrating a high level of literacy and numeracy sufficient to undertake complex letter writing and reports, statistical analysis of performance data and complex calculations.

Gross salary based on experience and consistent with the market
