About the Role

• Cover both fixed income and financial product investment management.
• Manage overall fixed income and financial product investment process, team performance, team staff development, and compliance with both internal and external regulations and requirements.
• Ensure the achievement of fixed income and financial product investment objectives through continuous formulating and implementing investment strategy according to changes in market environment and dynamics.
• Constantly refine fixed income and financial product investment process in accordance with changing local regulatory and AIA requirements.
• Serve as the single point of contact with IAMC’s client and provide services to the client as stipulated in the IMA or relevant agreements.
• Assist CEO in managing IAMC strategic initiatives in order to support the businesses’ sustainable growth.
• Maintain a good and close relationship with both external and internal IAMC’s counterparties and other third-party professionals in order to capture investment opportunities and facilitate investment transactions.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for setting the governance/compliance/investment risk framework for Fixed Income Investment (including policy and procedures/SOP, post-inv. management etc.).
  • Coordinate and participate in regular investments meeting to discuss market events and outlook.
  • Prepare regular and special reports on FI market conditions, investment strategies, economic review and analysis.
  • Lead expansion into new investment strategies such as bond fund investing and usage of derivatives.
  • Oversee rate, curve, credit sector and market behavioral research.
  • Oversee the execution of liquidity management to enhance cash yield.
  • Surveillance of CGB futures outsourcing.
  • Coordinate and lead fixed income and financial product investment to achieve superior risk-adjusted returns for our stakeholders and meet KPIs.
  • Ensure the achievement of objectives on ILP performance and peer ranking.
  • Ensure the achievement of multiple investment targets and objectives on both annual and long-term horizon.
  • Cooperate/coordinate with AIA Life and IAMC on various level mandates’ setting and implementation.
  • Provide support to clients on performance review, dispute resolution, ALM, Solvency, investment budgeting & planning, SAA review, TAA implementation & monitoring, liquidity management, Product, macro and market research, etc.
  • Provide good mentor and development guidance to team members.
  • Ad-hoc tasks placed by CIO.

Minimum Job Requirements:

  • Master Degree at least in Finance/Accounting/economic/business administration is preferred.
  • At least 15 years of fixed income or financial product’s investment experience or asset allocation experience.
  • CFA or FRM preferred.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, Bloomberg, Hundsun, Wind and other investment application software.
  • Strong leadership and mentor skill with good understanding of risk management.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skill.
  • Accountable, efficient, focus, detail oriented, and able to work under pressure.
  • Great team player.
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English in order to effectively communicate with multiple stakeholders.
