Reporting to the Pacific Managing Director, we are looking for a Head of Continuous Improvement and Efficiencies to lead our organisation-wide transformation. It’s a strategic leadership position where you will challenge the status quo, coach senior business leaders, and turn innovative ideas into high-impact financial reality. Based in our Melbourne Head Office, you will be the driving force behind our efficiency roadmap across the Pacific.Your primary objective is to lead the Pacific special projects and the broader Continuous Improvement (CIMP) program. You will be the central hub for operational brilliance, focusing on:
Own and drive the entity cost control and efficiency programme: Through large and small projects you will be responsible for working alongside our business leaders helping them identify, develop and execute efficiency programmes.
Special Projects: Take full ownership of end-to-end projects aimed at controlling and sustaining the P&L. You will engage with SBL Heads to conduct assessments, provide high-level recommendations, and execute efficiency initiatives that move the needle.
CIMP Program Leadership: Drive a culture of "bottom-up" efficiency. As a qualified CIMP practitioner, you will coach teams to identify lean opportunities, develop programmes of work and ensure successful execution. The role involves leading the CIMP belt programme, where you will facilitate employees in achieving their CIMP qualifications and successfully completing their individual projects.
Capital Process Ownership: Act as the business process owner for the entity capital budget. You will forecast annual needs, manage quarterly allocations, and guide the Investment Committees on high-stakes project submissions.
Steering Committee Influence: Serve as an active member of the IM Leadership team, providing data-driven advice and challenging the direction of the business to ensure sustainable growth. You will own the IM KPI programme ensuring relevant data is captured and presented to the IM Leadership team.
Local FIT Champion: In this capacity as the local FIT PMO, your key responsibilities will involve leading the implementation of FIT value initiatives and fostering the FIT Performance Culture.
Analytical Powerhouse: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or Engineering. You possess the financial literacy to manage a P&L and the technical mindset to understand complex supply chain and manufacturing operations.
Proven Project Leader: You possess a strong foundation in end-to-end project management, paired with the deep understanding of business operations that comes directly from first-hand operational experience.
Lean Expert: You have a strong background in LEAN principles and ideally hold a CIMP Green Belt (or have the drive to achieve one on the job).
Influencing Leader: You excel at coaching leaders, facilitating change, and communicating with impact across all levels of the organization.
Strategic Decision Maker: You can navigate various solution pathways, using quantitative reasoning to provide "Go or No Go" recommendations for major investments.
