Job Purpose
Drive sustainable category growth by translating shopper, customer, and channel insights into clear Category Growth Strategies (CGS/CCGS) and retailer-ready plans—including omnichannel category strategy, objective assortment & space optimization, and shelf/e-shelf design—while creating compelling selling stories and ensuring the right channel- and customer-fit for innovation landing and planogram strategies.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Category Growth Strategies (CGS / CCGS)
Localize CGS/CCGS into channel- and customer-specific strategies (MT, GT, Minimarket, HSM).
Create customer-facing category strategy packs and selling stories to support IBP and JBP discussions.
Act as the voice of customer, channel, and shopper, translating insights into clear strategic choices and actions.
Category Growth Management
Identify, align, and quantify category value drivers (CVDs) and prioritize growth levers by channel/customer.
Deliver insight-driven shelf & e-shelf design principles (navigation, blocking, price ladder, pack roles).
Own objective assortment optimization (hero SKUs, delist/replace, range architecture) to improve conversion and productivity.
Lead space planning and merchandising recommendations to maximize shelf productivity and shopper experience (incl. NRM levers where relevant).
Innovation / D4C / D4R
Ensure innovation pipeline is aligned upfront to CGS (right segment, pack-price, channel role).
Create innovation selling stories and define fit-for-channel & customer landing plans (assortment placement, shelving, visibility, rollout sequencing).
Capability Building
Contribute as a key member of the internal Category/Shopper CoP by building tools, templates, and best practices.
Upskill stakeholders on category strategy thinking, planogram principles, and insight-to-execution ways of working.
Business Focus Areas (as assigned)
Own specific strategic programs/brands (e.g., TDP) including performance tracking, insights, and action plans.
Qualifications & Experience
4–6 years in Category Management, Trade Marketing, or FMCG Insights.
Strong analytical background (Nielsen, Kantar, POS data).
Skilled in negotiation support, portfolio/channel strategy, and planogram execution.
Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and visualization tools (Power BI/Tableau).

Strategic Agility – Forward-looking channel & portfolio planning.
