Role Overview 

A senior individual contributor role responsible for executing working level government engagement in Taiwan, independently managing policy issues, regulatory monitoring, and cross functional coordination under the guidance of the Taiwan Government Affairs Director, with a strong focus on reliable execution and day to day government relations.

What You Will Do 

This role is a senior individual contributor position responsible for executing day to day government engagement under the direction of the Taiwan Government Affairs Director. The role focuses on working-level to division-director-level engagement with Taiwan government agencies and regulators, managing regulatory issues, maintaining consistent communication, and ensuring reliable follow through. The successful candidate will independently monitor policy and regulatory developments, assess implications for the business, prepare briefings and issue analyses, coordinate meetings and follow ups, and work closely with internal teams (including Legal, Compliance, Operations, and business units) to ensure government engagement is accurate, aligned, and executable. 

This is not a people management role; it is suited for a self driven professional with 7–10+ years of relevant experience, strong knowledge of Taiwan’s regulatory environment, proven ability to work independently with sound judgment, and excellent Mandarin and working level English communication skills.

Basic Qualifications

• 7–10+ years of relevant experience in government affairs, public policy, regulatory affairs, or a closely related field

• Experience engaging with Taiwan government agencies or regulators at the working to division director level

• Strong understanding of Taiwan’s policy making and regulatory environment

• Ability to operate independently, manage multiple issues in parallel, and deliver reliable follow through

• Experience coordinating across internal functions such as Legal, Compliance, Operations, or business teams

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Mandarin, with working level English proficiency

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in government or public policy related environment

• Ability to build and maintain professional, trust based relationships with government counterparts

• Experience preparing briefing materials, policy summaries, or issue analyses for internal stakeholders

• Strong organizational and communication skills and the ability to manage confidential or sensitive information with discretion

• Comfortable working in a fast paced environment and adapting to evolving priorities

• Sound judgment, professionalism, and a collaborative approach to stakeholder engagement

 

Remuneration

Monthly salary of more than NT$ 40,000 (To be discussed)
