Global Risk Management Lead – Sugar, Grains and Veg Oil at a glance …

You will plays a critical role in managing the risks associated with these commodities, helping the company to manage potential disruptions, improve operational efficiency, and safeguard its financial performance.

What’s on the Menu:

  • Risk Assessment: responsible for assessing the risks associated with the company's exposure to grains, vegetable oils, and sugar, including price risk, supply chain risk, financial risk, and compliance risk. This may involve developing risk management frameworks, conducting risk assessments, and identifying key risk indicators.

  • Risk Management Strategies: responsible for developing risk management strategies that align with the company's overall business objectives. This may involve developing hedging strategies, risk mitigation plans, and contingency plans to manage potential risks.

  • Data Analysis: responsible for analyzing data related to grains, vegetable oils, and sugar, including market data, supply chain data, and financial data. This may involve conducting data analysis and modeling to identify trends, develop forecasts, and inform risk management decisions.

  • Stakeholder Engagement: responsible for engaging with key stakeholders, including traders, suppliers, and customers, to manage risk effectively. This may involve negotiating contracts, developing relationships, and communicating risk management strategies to stakeholders.

  • Compliance: responsible for ensuring that the company's risk management strategies comply with relevant regulations and industry standards. This may involve developing and implementing compliance policies and procedures, conducting compliance audits, and providing training to employees.

  • Performance Reporting: responsible for reporting on the performance of the company's risk management strategies, including providing regular reports to senior management and other stakeholders. This may involve developing key performance indicators, monitoring performance metrics, and providing insights into risk management effectiveness.

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree required, master’s degree preferred in a related field.

  • At least 7 years of extensive Commodity Risk Management experience within a leading global CPG or commodities focused business.

  • Ability to effectively negotiate and influence business decisions and change.

  • Can effectively articulate various perspectives and impacts of issues and project them into the future.  Able to see all sides and the inherent value to stakeholders.

  • Effective at establishing trust and building effective business relationships and getting things done through others.

  • Organizational Agility – knows how to get things done both through formal and informal channels.

  • Priority Setting – Spends his/ her time and the time of others on what’s most important.  Eliminates roadblocks and creates focus.

  • Can be forceful and direct as well as diplomatic.

  • Anticipates and adjusts for problems and obstacles.

  • Strong written, verbal, and listening skills.

  • Strong Analytical, Planning and Execution skills. High results-orientation.
