This role offers the opportunity to shape Singapore’s tax treaty policy and advance Singapore’s interests internationally. You will provide technical expertise on treaty interpretation and cross-border tax issues, drive Singapore’s positions in tax treaty and Mutual Agreement Procedure negotiations, and deliver policy analysis to support international negotiations and respond to emerging international tax developments.[What you will be working on]

Conduct research and analysis on tax treaty matters, to formulate Singapore’s position in tax treaty and Mutual Agreement Procedure negotiations
Provide technical guidance on interpretation and application of tax treaties to internal and external stakeholders
Evaluate the implications of treaty-related international tax issues and developments, and provide recommendations to shape Singapore’s international tax positions
Provide support for IRAS representatives at international meetings and negotiations
