JOB SUMMARY:

We are looking a Global Level II Systems Engineer to join our team who are dedicated to developing and delivering innovative solutions to address our customers' most complex challenges, including cyber-resilient mission systems, within an Agile environment. This position is based at Schriever AFB. The successful candidate will possess the ability to technically diagnose, mitigate, and troubleshoot issues, and contribute as part of an on-site team providing 24x7 support for globally dispersed application suites operating across various time zones. The candidate will lead or participate in system troubleshooting, problem resolution, and maintenance activities, including both on-site and remote telephonic maintenance support. Additionally, the candidate will serve as a subject matter expert for applications, providing Level 2 troubleshooting, break/fix solutions, and preventative maintenance support, involving regular interaction with remote sites and varying levels of leadership within the program. The candidate must be a proactive problem solver, capable of planning, coordinating, directing, and managing individual projects with minimal supervision. Our Level 2 Systems Engineers are empowered to think innovatively, from automating system provisioning to enhancing enterprise monitoring. Position is normally Mon - Fri: potential surges, may require on-call, evenings and weekends support during system anomalies and/or tests.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Proven experience with Windows Domain Controllers, PKI infrastructure, and managing certificates on Windows domain controllers is essential
  • Experience with Red Hat or other Linux-based server administration is required
  • Automated Patch Management for both Windows and Red Hat Enterprise Linux is necessary
  • Candidate must be highly skilled in system administration, monitoring, application management, and automation disciplines to ensure efficient system delivery, optimal performance, uptime, and robust cybersecurity posture
  • The candidate should possess strong knowledge and practical experience in directing the assessment and development of Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs) as well as Operating Instructions (Ols) necessary for effectively administering, operating, and managing services within operational environments
  • Prior experience with virtualization and storage technologies such as Nutanix or VMware products, as well as automation with products like Ansible, Bash, Perl, and PowerShell.

TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Data mining and analysis
  • Database Administration
  • Endpoint Management Products
  • Familiarity with IBM Data Power products, particularly troubleshooting certificates within DataPower proxies.

EDUCATION: Bachelors and 9+ or Master with 7+ years of experience

LOCATION: Full Time/ On-Site in Colorado Springs, CO at Schriever AFB

CLEARANCE REQUIRMENT: Top Secret/SCI

DOD 8570 REQUIREMENT: IAT - Level II

SALARY RANGE: $120,000 to $145,000

Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors, including location, experience, skill set, performance, licensure and certification, and business needs. The range for this position in other geographic locations may differ. Certain positions may also be eligible for variable incentive compensation, such as bonuses or commissions, that is not included in the base salary.
