Global Business Banking – Strategy Consultant (Digital sales background)

The Global Retail organisation is end-to-end responsible for the three retail segments: Private Individuals, Private Banking & Wealth Management and Business Banking. ING Business Banking services 1.9 million clients ranging from Self-Employed till Midsized Corporates across 8 countries. Helping entrepreneurs and business owners to grow and manage their business.
The Strategy office of Global Business Banking supports the Global Head of Business Banking in executing the strategy and managing key priorities across the Business Banking locations. As a consultant in the Strategy team, you will work on a wide range of strategic and commercial projects which presents an opportunity to be part of the strategy execution and extend your network within Business Banking. You will work closely with the Global and Local Heads of Business Banking, Global Product Leads, local management teams and will report to the Lead of the Strategy office of Global Business Banking.
With different backgrounds and expertise within our team, we are looking for someone who brings a strong understanding of digital sales and/or commercial side of product development. Having a good understanding of the business we operate in is essential. This expertise will help us complement our diverse team and strengthen how we execute strategy in an increasingly digital Business Banking environment.
Your responsibilities will include:
Manage and moving strategic projects covering multiple countries and/or functions forward, aligning interests of various stakeholders’. There were relevant and possible you will focus on digital sales, acquisition and product development projects.
Provide high quality information to senior management to track execution and delivery on strategic priorities and drive informed decision making;
Act as a linking pin with various business units and central departments, to enable effective and efficient operations;
Support in business management activities and strengthen the way of working within the Global Retail organisation, while safeguarding the Orange Code as a role model.

Strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to interact efficiently with senior stakeholders;
Project management; ability to push complex projects forward towards tangible results.
Understanding of (digital) sales and/or product delivery within the Business Banking domain is considered a big plus.

Personal Profile
Master’s degree;
More than 6 years experience in banking, finance, strategy / consultancy, (fin)tech delivery or investment banking.
Experience in the business banking domain is considered a big plus.
Excellent data driven problem solving skills and attention to detail;
Sound experience in execution of strategic projects;
Affinity with Excel and Powerpoint based work environment;
Excellent level of English;
Ability to independently synthesize complex matters and able to distil this towards management briefings and decision making. This includes having experience in preparing management information and presentations.
What we offer?
This position is based on a 40 hour working week. The position is intended as a job scale 11-12, ultimately depending on your qualifications and work experience. The work location is Amsterdam, Cedar.
