Compensation: $28.00/hourly

Tessera is seeking a reliable General Maintenance Worker (Snow Removal Operations) to support and coordinate base snow removal efforts. This role includes conducting inspections, maintaining communication with supervisors and team members, supporting 24-hour standby operations, clearing roadways, performing equipment checks and minor repairs, and documenting activities to ensure mission readiness and safety.
Typical duties include but are not limited to:
Serve as the primary point of contact for base snow removal (snow control) operations.
Conduct base snow inspections and communicate findings to the Pavements & Equipment (P&E) Manager and team leads.
Respond to phone inquiries, document snow removal activities, and maintain clear communication with the team via two-way radio.
Accurately log all snow removal operations and related information as required.
Support 24-hour snow removal operations, including plowing and clearing, under the direction of the P&E Manager and leads to ensure mission-ready roadways.
Report to the USAFA within one hour when placed on standby.
Perform routine equipment inspections to ensure trucks and small equipment are safe and fully operational.
Document and report maintenance or repair needs to the vehicle maintenance facility prior to operation.
Complete minor maintenance tasks and carry out additional duties as assigned.
All other duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements:
Employees must have the ability to perform the following physical demands for extended periods of time with or without assistance. The physical demands of this position may be reasonably accommodated for individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions on a case-by-case basis.
May be required to reach, kneel, walk, stand, and use repetitive motion for several hours at a time based on position duties.
Work may require repetitive motion, reaching, lifting, kneeling, and walking. Standing or sitting for several hours at a time, climbing in and out of a vehicle, and up and down stairs may also be required.
Must have the perseverance to work effectively under pressure for extended periods of time.
Requirements:
A valid state driver’s license is required with the ability to obtain and maintain coverage by Tessera’s insurance. CDL preferred.

Must be able to obtain and maintain applicable security clearances and installation access. A background check and E-Verify will be conducted for this position.
Minimum of 2 years of general maintenance experience preferred
HS Diploma or equivalent required.
Must possess the ability to work in a team or alone and be able to change jobs on short notice.
Must have practical knowledge of worksite safety, occupational hazards and standard safety practices.
Must be able to perform duties under adverse weather conditions (extreme cold / heat, etc.).
Must be able to perform stand-by duties when scheduled and report to work within one hour of notification.
Must be able to work alternate and extended shift schedules when necessary to meet the mission requirements of the customer to include weekends and holidays.
