Fuel Logistics Specialist — Miami, FL

World Fuel – Aviation

The Fuel Logistics Specialist plays a key role within World Fuel’s Global Fuel Logistics team—one of our core differentiators in the aviation market. This role blends customer service, sales support, and operational coordination to ensure aircraft around the world receive fuel safely, accurately, and on time.

You’ll work in a fast‑paced, global environment, interacting with customers, suppliers, and internal teams to deliver exceptional service. This position is also a strong development path into Sales, Supply, and other areas within World Fuel.

What You’ll Do

  • Manage high‑volume customer interactions via phone and email.
  • Coordinate global fuel arrangements for scheduled and ad‑hoc flights.
  • Provide pricing support, prepare sales orders, and respond to fuel quotes.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships, including managing a small account portfolio to grow volume and profitability.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Supply, Credit, Billing, Vendor Reconciliation, FBO, SRM, and Pricing teams.
  • Monitor fuel shortages, operational updates, and ensure all details are accurately entered into internal systems.
  • Support credit release decisions in alignment with company policies.
  • Interpret diverse customer requests clearly—even when communication challenges exist.
  • Participate in occasional travel for customer visits, supplier meetings, trade shows, or short‑term assignments in other offices.

What You Bring

Required

  • 1–2 years of experience in customer service, sales support, operations coordination, or a fast‑paced administrative role (aviation experience preferred).
  • Excellent communication skills in English (written and verbal).
  • Comfortable handling high‑volume phone and email interactions in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Strong customer service orientation with the ability to build rapport quickly.
  • High attention to detail, sound judgment, and commercial awareness.
  • Ability to prioritize, remain calm under pressure, and handle unexpected issues.
  • A proactive, positive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Confidence communicating with customers globally, including outreach to prospective customers.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Valid passport.

Preferred

  • Knowledge of commercial, business, or military aviation and the aviation fuel market.
  • Familiarity with aircraft types.
  • Experience with Oracle systems.
  • Fluency in additional languages.
  • Strong understanding of world geography.

Minimum Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
