The Senior Accountant plays a critical role in the financial reporting and close process for Crest Natural Resources and its related entities. This position is responsible for supporting the monthly close, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP.

The ideal candidate is highly analytical, detail-oriented, and experienced in multi-entity environments with complex accounting structures. This role partners closely with leadership and operational teams to ensure accurate, timely financial reporting and continuous process improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Close & Reporting

· Lead and support monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes

· Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules

· Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with U.S. GAAP

· Assist with budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis

 

Budget

· Assist with the budgeting process

· Forecast revenue rocon

· Help calculate net asset value

 

Compliance & Audit

· Support external audits and respond to auditor requests

· Maintain documentation to support internal controls and compliance requirements

· Assist in maintaining and improving accounting policies and procedures

· Coordination with outside tax service to provide necessary documentation

 

Analysis & Process Improvement

· Analyze financial results and provide variance explanations

· Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy

· Assist in system implementations, upgrades, or ERP enhancements

· Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure accurate financial data flow

Qualifications & Requirements

· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (required)

· 3 years of progressive accounting experience, including financial close

· Experience in multi-entity or corporate accounting environment

· Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups, advanced formulas)

· Experience with ERP/accounting systems

· Demonstrated experience with U.S. GAAP financial reporting
