Job Summary: About the position: This position is located at the Daily Grind Coffee Shop, 423d Force Support Squadron, RAF Alconbury, United Kingdom. It offers 20 guaranteed hours per week, and the incumbent may be required to work 20-40 hours per week, as needed. The position requires frequent walking, standing, lifting, stooping, bending, pulling, and reaching. *This Position offers a Sign-On Bonus and an Extra Incentive Bonus for Retention*

Major Duties:

  • Ensures enough supplies, materials, and tools are available and gets the work started for the rest of the workers. Sets the pace of work and makes sure there is enough work to keep everyone busy. Advises and encourages employees to follow the instructions received from the supervisor. Ensures that safety and housekeeping rules are being followed. Maintains current knowledge on policies, written procedures and instructions, and technical manuals in order to instruct and answer questions from other workers. Plans and prepares limited menu items such as paninis, salad bowls, fruit bowls, soups, and specials options. Uses a flat grill to cook breakfast items, including eggs, bacon, and sausages. Conducts inventory and ensures food and beverage stock is monitored and maintained to minimize the potential for fraud, waste, and abuse. Procures a Government Purchase Card to purchase inventory, supplies, equipment and to pay for invoices. Receives payments, issues receipts, and performs daily banking in accordance with resource managements' rules and regulations.
