Job Title: Fixed Income Securities - Operations Manager, VP

Shift Schedule : 3pm-12md (Philippines time)
Role Overview
Operations Manager is responsible for driving the planning and the day-to-day management of the business to align with the bank's strategic goals. Operations set the direction and manage performance to bank targets with a focus on continual performance improvement. Work includes: Identifying and prioritizing product and service improvement opportunities and creating plans for implementation ,utilizing comprehensive knowledge of the company's internal operations to develop forward-looking focus for business .Supporting bank strategy, proactively identifying and managing areas of risk , maintaining relationships with relevant internal and external stakeholders including regulators, market vendors and internal divisions ,Communicating changes to operational requirements and their impact on relevant processes and controls
Operations Manager will manage trade life cycle activities for Fixed Income Securities, handle key client queries, oversee Back-Office settlement operations, ensure compliance with TAT/SLA standards, and lead a team of 20-25 people.

Your key responsibilities
- Responsibility for the Back Office operations for Settlement under Fixed Income product, Understands the importance of TAT/SLA’s and proactively works towards maintenance of the same.
- Liaising with Domestic Agents, Middle offices, Traders, Counterparties, Frankfurt, London and other internal counterparts via mail and phone to ensure smooth settlements.
- Gain Expertise in processing in end-to-end life cycle of Trades
- Understands and effectively manages risks through timely and accurate escalation and resolution of key issues.
- Ability to work in partnership with various support team, Key stakeholders and should be able to lead key projects
- Managing client/SA/MO/TA escalations and mitigating the process risks
- Responsible for responding to ad-hoc issues or client queries on a timely basis, ensuring all communications have been responded to before end of day.
- Ensure process documentation is relevant and updated regularly for your process to audit standards.
- Actively supports transformation and/or optimization initiatives to improve the efficiency/effectiveness of process.
- liaise with multiple internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth settlements and timely resolution of issues and always support your wider team mates.
- Ensure accurate and timely delivery of services to clients
- Reporting Multiple MIS
- Good communication Skills
Your skills and experience
- Responsibility for the Back Office operations for Settlement under Fixed Income/Equity product, Understands the importance of TAT/SLA’s and proactively works towards maintenance of the same.
- Liaising with Domestic Agents, Middle offices, Traders, Counterparties, Frankfurt, London, US and other internal counterparts via mail and phone to ensure smooth settlements.
- Gain Expertise in processing in end-to-end life cycle of Trades
- Understands and effectively manages risks through timely and accurate escalation and resolution of key issues.
- Follow escalation matrix to escalate aged issues and critical trades to line manager and middle office for quick resolution.
- The role requires extensive internal and external stakeholder communication.
- Own preparation of month end KRIs, DB Score activity, FMI and Reg reporting for control framework.
- Should have strong knowledge of trade life cycle and good understanding of Equities product and Business and European market nuances
- Strong analytical skills, detail oriented, flexible to work in shifts and take additional responsibility when needed to login/logout as per business requirements.
- Own market/system testing over weekend with right level of proof capturing.
- Very good verbal and written articulation/communication skills
- Should be able to challenge status quo.
- The ideal candidate should have hands on Experience in Trade settlements and should have managed Trade operations in the past, preferably for European markets.
- Proficient in MS office with specific concentration on MS Excel
- Good analytical skills and trouble shooting skills
- Ability to work in partnership with various support team, Key stakeholders and should be able to lead key projects
