Major Duties:
Qualifications: Your resume must demostrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-11) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing the full range of fire and emergency services program management functions including fire protection program implementation, strategic planning, development and budget execution for the purpose of protecting life and property from fire explosion, emergency medical emergencies, hazardous material incidents, and other related disasters. Additional Conditions of Employment- ***This position requires the incumbent to possess the following certifications: DoD certifications Fire Officer IV, Fire Instructor II, Fire Inspector II, and HazMat Incident Command and must possess certificates ICS 100, 200, 300, 400, 700, and 800 (FEMA, State, or Navy), to meet the requirement. If you do not possess all of the above certifications and you have not attached copies of your certifications, you will be rated ineligible.*** · Work requires a valid state driver's license and successful completion of an Emergency Vehicle Operator Course. · Work requires an annual physical. · Work requires participation in a physical fitness program. · Work requires to wear a respirator or self-contained breathing apparatus. · Work requires the employee to work under adverse environmental conditions and falls under the respiratory protection program and hearing conservation program. · Work requires to report for duty during Natural Disasters or other such emergency situations. · Incumbent will be required to work a 60-hour work week with eating and sleeping facilities provided in accordance with general firefighting practices. · Work schedule will consist of four 9-hour days and one 24- hour shift per week. · You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases. This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
