Work Schedule: Full time 

Compensation: $120,250.00 - $127,375.03/annually (Tessera's compensation strategy is to position new employees between the minimum and midpoint of this range, depending on qualifications and experience.)

Tessera is seeking a safety-oriented and dynamic Fire Alarm and Electronic Controls Supervisor with a professional attitude. The Fire Alarm and Electronic Controls Supervisor’s primary duty and responsibility is to supervise the total work effort associated with operation, sustainment, restoration, and modernization of facility fire alarm systems, electronic signaling controls, electronic building controls and components.  The Fire Alarm and Electronic Controls Supervisor shall be the subject matter expert for facility fire alarm and electronic control systems maintenance and repair.

Typical duties include but are not limited to:  

  • Leading, mentoring, and managing a team of fire alarms, controls system, and electronics technicians, delegating tasks, and providing technical guidance.  

  • Diagnosing and resolving fire systems and electronic issues, often requiring advanced technical skills.   

  • Developing and implementing preventative maintenance plans to ensure optimal system performance and longevity.   

  • Ensuring strict adherence to safety protocols and regulations, especially when working with energized equipment. 

  • Planning, scheduling, and overseeing fire systems and electronic projects, including material procurement and cost estimation.   

  • Maintaining accurate records of work performed, generating reports, and communicating effectively with the customer.  

  • Ensure that all maintenance activities comply with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as company safety policies. 

  • Conducts regular inspections of facilities to identify maintenance needs and ensure compliance with safety regulations.  

  • Operational Excellence – leverages team and established BI solutions to drive superior performance results, e.g., capacity, on-time completion, backlog, quality, and customer ratings.   

  • Change Management – designs and implements change successfully.  Able to explain the “why” to employees in language that is relevant to them.   

 

Qualifications:   

  • HS/GED with 5-8 years of experience in Fire Systems and Electronics; equivalent combination of experience and education allowed  

  • NICET Level I or greater required.  

  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills. 

  • Strong knowledge of fire alarm and electronic equipment associated with facilities control systems, and traffic signaling.

  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. 

  • May be required to reach, kneel, walk, stand, and use repetitive motion for several hours at a time based on position duties. 

  • Work may require repetitive motion, reaching, lifting, kneeling, and walking. Standing or sitting for several hours at a time, climbing in and out of a vehicle, and up and down stairs may also be required.  

  • Must have the perseverance to work effectively under pressure for extended periods of time.
