The Financial Controller is responsible for supporting the accounting, controllership, and financial compliance activities. The role ensures accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and adherence to corporate and statutory requirements, while acting as a finance business partner to leaders.
The position reports to Finance Manager Turkey and is based in Ataşehir, İstanbul. It operates on a hybrid working model, combining on-site presence with remote work in line with company policy.

In this role, a typical day will look like:

  • Financial Reporting & Close:
  • Responsible for monthly, quarterly, and annual financial accounts
  • Manage and control monthly reporting and consolidation of results
  • Monitor key corporate financial figures and performance indicators
  • Analyze deviations versus forecast and prior periods and define corrective actions
     
  • Accounting & Compliance:
  • Ensure accounting records and financial statements comply with US GAAP / local
  • statutory requirements
  • Maintain strong internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure accuracy and
  • reliability of results
  • Support internal, external, tax, and statutory auditors
  • Ensure compliance with corporate policies and standards (Veralto / Videojet
  • standards)
     
  • Budgeting & Forecasting:
  • Support annual budget planning
  • Support forecasting accuracy and process improvements
  • Drive working capital management and cash flow optimization  
     
  • Business Partnering:
  • Act as a trusted finance business partner to managers
  • Provide financial insight to support operational and strategic decision-making
  • Support initiatives such as process optimization, ERP implementations, acquisitions, or divestments

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Accounting degree required
  • Strong background in accounting and controllership (audit experience is a must)
  • Proven experience in financial reporting, compliance, and audit management
  • Solid understanding of GAAP and internal control frameworks
  • Fluent English required
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience working in a multinational or matrix organization is preferred
  • ERP system familiarity (Navision is used; learning on-the-job is possible)
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • CPA or Chartered Accountancy qualification considered a bonus
