As the Technology Finance Director, you’ll lead a team of Financial Business Analysts to transform how we report, analyze, and communicate insights. We’ll count on you to craft compelling narratives, modernize reporting and analytics, and guide associates to deliver accurate, actionable insights that drive smarter decisions across Technology and Finance.
This role does not qualify for employer sponsored work authorization. Nationwide does not participate in the STEM OPT extension program.
It is our intention to fill this role in Columbus, OH.
This position will be hired on a SuccessFlex basis. The hired associate will be required to come into the office 2 days per week, according to the department's current hybrid schedule.

Key Responsibilities:
May perform other responsibilities as assigned
Reporting Relationships: Reports to Vice President/Officer. Manages a team of four or more financial professionals.
Typical Skills and Experiences:
Education: Undergraduate studies in finance, economics, accounting or statistics; advanced degree in financial field desired. Technical insurance coursework desirable.
License/Certification/Designation: CPA preferred.
Experience: Typically, ten or more years of relevant experience related to accounting, finance, insurance or administrative business functions, with at least five years of management level experience.
Knowledge, Abilities and Skills: Advanced knowledge of statistical analysis, financial statement preparation, budgeting and financial analysis techniques, and related business operations. Facility with GAAP and statutory accounting practices and insurance/financial service business requirements. Thorough knowledge of administrative policies and procedures required.
Other criteria, including leadership skills, competencies and experiences may take precedence.
Staffing exceptions to the above must be approved by the hiring manager’s leader and HR Business Partner.
