3. Purpose of the position

Provide site and BU management teams the analysis and information needed to make operational and strategic decisions.  Position will play an active role in project analysis, month end close cycle activities, and cost variance analysis.

4. Position context

Internal contacts:        Finance & Control, Business Management, Site Management (all departments: Quality, Manufacturing, Technical Services, EH&S, Site Services incl. Warehouse), PDS, SCM, Procurement, Managing Director and Management of other sites.

External contacts:      Customers, auditors, external consultants, divisions.

5. Position key areas of accountability/responsibility

FICO accountability

Responsible for monthly end to end pass through cost process. Responsible for monthly journal to move data from ProcessPro to SAP. Assisting with monthly supplemental reporting. Responsible for completing the customer project accruals.  Responsible for assisting with the yearly site budget preparation (AOP) and monthly site forecasts. Responsible for monthly and quarterly activities for site financial closes. Responsible for monthly maintenance order settlements in SAP. Responsible for monthly spare parts data gathering and journal creation. Responsible for monthly SAP assessment run. Responsible for foreign exchange rate early review. Responsible for monthly account reconciliations. Responsible for cost champion reporting for accurate forecasting. Responsible for assisting with and providing data for internal/external audits. Responsible for assisting GBS team with any issues. Responsible for learning and adopting new systems and tools to improve reporting. Responsible for partnering with operations team to provide outstanding business support and ensure accurate accounting especially around fixed assets and accruals. Collaborating with Project Managers and Business Managers. Responsible for problem solving, trouble shooting and root cause analysis.

Project Management

Responsible for business cases, ad hoc financial analysis, and finance projects. Responsible for reporting and analysis of development projects.

Continuous Improvement

Responsible for contributing to improvements in reporting and efficiency within team. Responsible for supporting a positive workplace culture.

Revenue approx. $230M over two manufacturing facilities.

8. Knowledge and educational level

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business/Economics/Math/Finance/ or Accounting and 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Project Management experience preferred.
  • Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma experience preferred.
  • SAP and database experience preferred.
