Overview:
The HP Asset Recovery team delivers strategic financial advisory, risk assessment, compliance, and process optimization services to drive bottom-line savings. With deep Procure-to-Pay and Order-to-Cash expertise, we leverage data analytics and process intelligence to identify financial leakages and improve operational efficiency.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Solid understanding of Unclaimed Property laws and compliance requirements across states and jurisdictions.

  • Understanding that non-compliance can lead to misleading financial statements, increased audit risk, penalties, and litigation.

  • Lead and support recovery review engagements across Procure to Pay (P2P) and Order to Cash (O2C) functions, focusing on identifying gaps, erroneous payments, and unclaimed property (UCP) opportunities.

  • Perform due diligence, financial analysis, audit trail documentation, and gap identification for recovery and compliance purposes.

  • Maintain strong internal and external stakeholder relationships; provide insights, root cause analysis, and recovery plans.

  • Collaborate across cross-functional teams to ensure timely and accurate execution of review processes.

  • Mentor junior team members and support their development through coaching and knowledge sharing.

  • Ensure strict adherence to HP’s ethics, policies, and regulatory requirements.

Skills & Requirements:

  • Proficiency in recovery audits, financial reconciliation, and cost-saving initiatives.

  • Solid understanding of Unclaimed Property laws and compliance requirements across states and jurisdictions.

  • In-depth knowledge of P2P, O2C, Contra, and Procurement processes.

  • Strong business acumen and problem-solving mindset.

  • Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint; working knowledge of SAP S4 HANA is a plus.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

  • Agile, adaptable, and able to thrive in a dynamic environment.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related fields.

  • Minimum 7+ years of work experience; at least 4 years in accounting, audit, or financial compliance.

Impact & Scope
• Impacts multiple departments and leads large, cross-division functional teams or projects.

Complexity
• Works on assignments that are highly complex in nature where a strong degree of initiative and technical knowledge are required to resolve problems.
