As Finance Manager Reporting & Analysis, you will be accountable for the end‑to‑end delivery of financial performance reporting and insight for NZ Banking. You will lead a team responsible for translating complex financial and non‑financial data into clear, decision‑ready insights for senior leaders.
You will act as a trusted advisor to Executives and Senior Leaders, shaping how performance is understood, communicated, and acted upon. This role goes beyond producing reports it requires judgement, influence, and the ability to challenge constructively.
Key responsibilities:
Leading NZ Banking financial performance reporting across monthly, quarterly, half‑year and annual cycles
Owning Executive, Board, Group, regulatory and external performance reporting
Providing forward‑looking insight on financial performance, emerging risks, and opportunities
Influencing senior leaders through clear, credible analysis and storytelling
Leading competitor and industry benchmarking using ASX disclosures and regulatory data
Ensuring strong reporting governance, controls, and data integrity
Driving continuous improvement in reporting quality, efficiency, and automation
Leading, coaching and developing a team of senior analysts, setting clear expectations and lifting capability
Nā tāu rourou | What will you bring?
Significant experience working within a large banking environment, specifically in financial performance, management reporting, or business performance insight.
Demonstrated people leadership experience, including leading senior analysts and developing future leaders
Proven ability to influence and challenge senior stakeholders, including Executives and Heads of, with confidence and credibility
Strong commercial judgement and the ability to translate complex information into clear executive messages
CA (or equivalent) qualification essential
Experience with finance reporting systems (TM1 or similar highly regarded)
This is a high‑impact role at the centre of performance insight and senior decision‑making, offering strong exposure and the opportunity to shape how the bank measures and drives results.
