About the Role
The position is responsible for timely completion of accounting and reporting for General Insurance Business within the statutory requirements and guidelines.
Job Description:
- Responsible for the timely completion of monthly/quarterly/yearly financial and management reports of General Insurance business.
- Review the accuracy and ensure timely submission of local statutory returns to BNM, IFRS templates to AIA Group and other regulatory reporting requirements, including audited financial statements.
- Perform variance analysis of the financial results and prepare management analysis pertaining to reporting to local management, AIA Group and statutory bodies.
- Review monthly and quarterly reconciliation of accounts and investigate and resolve discrepancies.
- Identify and implement initiatives to improve processes and collaborate across departments to ensure that initiatives are incorporated with sound financial controls whilst meeting business requirements.
- Resolve issues and queries related to GL posting, processes and system, and identify solutions and improvements.
Minimum Job Requirements:
- A recognized Bachelor Degree in Accounting or Professional Accountancy Qualification, with at least 5 years of relevant working experience.
- Computer literate with proficiency in MS Excel and SAP are added advantage.
- Able to work under pressure and meeting tight deadlines.
- Analytical and good problem solving skills.
- Possess good interpersonal and communication skills.
