Role Overview
With supervision of the Senior Accountant, the Finance Associate ensures the accurate recording and processing of accounts payable in a timely manner. Responsible for ensuring that invoices are processed according to standard procedures while communicating with stakeholders in a professional manner.
Department Accountabilities
Budgeting
Set, analyze, and monitor budgets in line with organization strategy; identify financial trends.
Treasury
Design, develop, and deliver treasury strategy and operations.
Financial Policies, Guidelines, and Protocols
Develop financial guidelines and protocols in response to statutory and financial requirements.
Operational Compliance
Adhere to internal policies and procedures and external standards, including regulatory codes and voluntary codes of conduct, to minimize business risk and protect the organization's reputation.
Organizational Risk Management
Develop and/or deliver on activities to keep track of the organization's risk profile and limit the organization's exposure to undue risks.
Roles Specific Outcomes
Accounting:
Maintain accurate accounting records and files, in accordance with statutory requirements and local policies and procedures, to ensure that information is auditable.
Financial Management and Control:
Work within established systems to deliver prescribed outcomes for a designated area of financial control.
Organizational Risk Management:
Ensure the organization is not exposed to undue risks by using risk management systems to achieve specific goals within a designated area of the business.
Financial Policies, Guidelines, and Protocols:
Contribute to the development and delivery of financial policies, guidelines, and protocols to ensure the company complies with regulations and good financial practice.
Stakeholder Management:
Deliver stakeholder engagement activities to support development of effective project working relationships and to identify and respond to stakeholder needs and concerns.

This role is based in our New York office, where most of the team and operational infrastructure are located. Due to current staffing and budget constraints, we’re unable to support this position in our DC or California offices.

Compensation
$59,475 to $89,212 annually;In alignment with MSF USA’s compensation framework, new hires are generally offered between the minimum and midpoint of the range based on relevant experience, skills, and internal equity.
