We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Finance Assistant to join our dynamic finance team in Mumbai office.

What work you will be responsible for:

In This role you will be responsible for the timely and accurate processing of invoices and expenses, ensuring all payments are properly coded and authorized. The ideal candidate possesses solid foundational accounting knowledge and a sharp eye for detail, enabling them to correctly identify transactions and assign accurate general ledger codes. Your work will be crucial in maintaining our company's financial integrity and strong vendor relationships.

Responsibilities:

  • Process high volume of invoices, expense reports, and payment requests accurately and efficiently.

  • Review, verify, and code invoices and transactions to the correct general ledger accounts, cost centers, and projects, ensuring adherence to company policies and accounting standards.

  • Identify discrepancies, duplicate payments, or issues with invoices and resolve them proactively by collaborating with internal departments and vendors.

  • Prepare and review weekly Aging reports to ensure timely vendor payments.

  • Reconcile vendor statements and manage vendor inquiries professionally and promptly.

  • Assist with month-end closing activities, including accruals and account reconciliations.

  • Support process improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of the AP function.

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and relevant tax regulations

Basic Qualifications:

  • Graduation in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a full-cycle accounts payable role.

  • Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and the accounts payable process.

  • Demonstrated ability to accurately identify invoice details and assign proper general ledger (GL) codes.

  • High proficiency with accounting software SAP S4HANNA, Concur and Microsoft Office.

  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy, with a commitment to data integrity.

  • Strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with vendors and internal teams.

  • Proactive problem-solver with a high degree of ethics and discretion.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Experience in a similar industry.

  • Familiarity and experience in working on SAP, S4HANNA and Concur
