JOB FUNCTION / SUMMARY:
Team Lead, Wealth Management leads a team of Wealth Management associates including Private Bankers, Trust Advisors and support associates. Team Leads, Wealth Management are primarily responsible for profitability, sales, and creating an atmosphere of integrity, professionalism, and quality. Team Leads are responsible for providing accurate and superior client service, and cultivating and coordinating referral business with other lines of business within the bank.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assists team members with complex account relationships and guides less-experienced members of the team in matters relating to investments, financial planning, and complex financing arrangements.
Assists with the management and development of Trust relationships including estates, trusts, guardianships, agency relationships, fiduciary services, and investment management services.
Provides advice and guidance to team members on lending and deposit gathering practices and procedures; ensures that the actions of all team members adhere to organizational policy.
Assist with establishing sales goals and strategies, and assesses team’s performance against set goals.
Responsible for modeling, promoting, and implementing One Wealth model within assigned Wealth Team.
Accountable for maintaining corporate standards for regulatory compliance, risk management policies, and internal financial and operational controls for all activities related to the Wealth Management.
Develops centers of influence and participates in community and civic organizations to promote goodwill and generate new business.
Compiles and reports financial data as required by organization and government regulations.
Meet with Wealth Management clients and potential clients as needed for new business development and to help achieve regional goals.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for the overall direction, coordination and evaluation of a team of associates, carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws; Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training associates; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding associates and enforcing policy and procedure; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE:
Bachelor’s degree preferably in Business, Finance or related field required.
Graduate degree, Certified Financial Planner (CFP), and/or Certified Wealth Strategist (CWS) preferred.
10 years of related experience in Private Banking or Wealth Management required. Management experience preferred.
Advanced understanding of trust, estate, investment and financial planning issues for affluent and high net worth clients
Series 24; Series 7; Series 66 or Series 65 and Series 63; Life and Health licenses for the state(s) where business is conducted is encouraged.
Experience with Microsoft Office products including Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint.
ESSENTIAL MENTAL & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to operate related equipment to perform the essential job functions.
Ability to read and interpret a document if required to perform the essential job functions.
Ability to lift/move/carry approximately 10 pounds if required to perform the essential job functions.
