Perform complex and technically demanding support of Elekta Treatment Delivery Systems. The position requires professional representation between the customer and the company in all aspects of the customer relations. The role will ensure that Elekta maintain their contractual commitments in ensuring Clinical uptime commitments are met. You will be responsible for managing all maintenance activities on the site for Elekta supplied equipment. You will be expected to work under your own initiative to complete the tasks required.

Responsibilities –

  • Conduct Servicing and Upgrades in local area of responsibility of Elekta Treatment Delivery Systems.

  • Assist with installations of Elekta Treatment Delivery Systems.

  • Liaison and customer support representative for the local region for Service of Linear Accelerators.

  • Provide phone and email support, technical advice & “Help Desk” support as appropriate to customers

  • Able to complete all Technician Responsibilities.

  • Independently perform routine troubleshooting and repairs on the designated modality while working within the escalation procedure.

  • Carry out the Field Change Orders, Safety Checks / Modifications, as instructed by the Elekta Supply Centre for the installed systems

  • Perform routine calibrations and preventative maintenance on their designated modality and secondary modality.

  • Conduct Planned Maintenance for Customers.

  • Read, analyse, interpret and follow signal flow on blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.

  • Instruct customers in proper use of the equipment.

  • Assist Sales/Customer Service with technical advice.

  • Stay current on all new Elekta products.

  • Submit timely and accurately reports as assigned.

  • Parts inventory management

  • Maintain all company-leased equipment, including company computer, parts, and tools.

  • Assist with hardware installations as required by the business

  • Employees may be required to undertake overseas service task as assigned by the manager.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.

Relevant Knowledge, skills and competencies –

  • Degree or diploma in Electronic/Electrical engineering (or equivalent experience).

  • Minimum of 1-2 years of Elekta Linac field service experience or equivalent systems and strong capability on practice. Possess a good electro-mechanical aptitude.

  • Fault find and repair at board level & below, manage own workload and be highly motivated, dynamic, have good leadership skills & be a good problem solver.

  • Strong customer focus and have excellent customer service skills, to ensure that all customers are provided with high quality care and attention throughout the sales and service process, so that each customer is fully satisfied with the support they receive from Elekta.

  • An excellent communicator at all levels, written and verbal output shall be concise and accurate.

  • Complete the administration requirements of the role in accordance with the quality system in a timely and accurate manner.

  • Be prepared to work as required at times and locations dictated by the needs of the customer and Elekta.

  • Provide feedback to the Regional Service Manager any problems, solutions or opportunities which may need to be communicated to other parties.

  • Carry out, without supervision, corrective maintenance within acceptable timescales, prompting escalation of the problem if required and maintaining ownership of problem until the customer is satisfied.

  • Completed all relevant Elekta Linac Training Courses

  • Working knowledge/understanding of all Elekta products and proficiency in assigned product specialties

  • Familiarity/proficiency with the following applications: MSOffice, Salesforce (CRM), QlikSense, Concur, Workday.

  • Be a self-motivated worker, able to interact and communicate well with all levels of the business

  • Business English skills for both oral and written communication purposes

  • Must be willing to travel domestically and internationally up to 30% of the time when required and work independently.

  • Must maintain an active driver’s license (car and/or motorcycle)
