Job Scope: Contribute to the delivery and implementation of the actuarial process optimization solutions, which aims to transform the Group’s actuarial reporting processes into highly automated and controlled processes, allowing more time for analysis and value adding work.Key Accountabilities:
• Support delivery of design and build requests from BUs as relevant, related to actuarial modelling, or the technical end of reporting developments
• Deliver reusable global solutions to actuarial reporting of all core metrics across all BUs
• Support testing activities
• Re-engineer models and systems where needed in order to make them ready to use in the automated workflows. (By using Python, VBA, or other group wide approved tools.)
• Assist in documenting processes and results for internal and external stakeholders
• Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas to improve actuarial processes and efficiency
Candidate Requirements:
• Minimum 5 of experience with actuarial systems development
• Ability to solve logical problems and explain solutions in a clear manner
• Solid system development skills (e.g. Unify, Python, VBA, Alteryx, PowerShell etc.)
• Experienced in data manipulations with tools such as ETL, SQL
• Knowledge of actuarial systems is highly desirable
• Strong communication skills (both verbal and written)
• Ability to work under pressure with multiple competing demands
• Attention to detail
• Actuarial Degree, part qualified actuary or equivalent, or equivalent professional qualifications
