Please see Additional Information section below.*** You will serve as a Clinical Case Manager (Family Advocacy Program) in the MARINE CORPS AIR STATION IWAKUNI. Major Duties:
Qualifications: GS-11: In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate conducting assessments of individuals and families at risk of domestic violence, child abuse, neglect, and problematic sexual behavior in children and youth (PSB-CY); assisting with risk and safety planning; coordinating services with multidisciplinary teams; and maintaining case documentation in accordance with established policies to promote client safety and family stability. In lieu of specialized experience, you may also qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience: 3 years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. degree or Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree GS-12 In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate independently conducting comprehensive and complex assessments of individuals and families at risk of domestic violence, child abuse, neglect, and problematic sexual behavior in children and youth (PSB-CY); performing risk and lethality assessments; developing and managing safety and intervention plans; providing consultation to multidisciplinary teams; and coordinating services and maintaining case documentation in accordance with established policies to ensure client safety and effective case management. Conditions of Employment Continued: - You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver's license and Status of Forces Agreement (SOFA) Driver's license. - Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing. - The incumbent must meet the qualification requirements described in SECNAVINST 1754.8, "Credentials Review and Clinical Privileging of Clinical Providers within Department of the Navy Family Readiness Program." - The incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain a Tier 1 with Child Care Investigation. MCCS personnel are not permitted to provide services alone to minor children until this condition is met per DoDI 1402.05. - This position is a TIER ONE clinical care provider. Applicants must possess at least a masters or doctoral degree in one of the following disciplines as outlined in SECNAVINST 1754.8: 1. Master's degree from a program accredited by the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Education Programs (CACREP) or an equivalent degree, OR 2. Master's degree from a program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Marriage and Family Therapy Education (COAMFTE) or an equivalent degree, OR 3. Master's degree in Social Work from a graduate school accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) or an equivalent degree, OR 4. Doctoral degree in clinical or counseling psychology from an American Psychological Association (APA) accredited university or professional school and a one-year APA accredited clinical internship. - The incumbent must meet Tier II (Clinical Practitioner) requirements IAW SECNAVINST 1754.8 in order to be promoted to the GS-0101-12 full performance level. This position is a TIER TWO clinical care practitioner. Applicants must meet all of the following requirements as outlined in SECNAVINST 1754.8: 1. Possess at least a masters or doctoral degree in one of the following disciplines: a. Master's degree from a program accredited by the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Education Programs (CACREP) or an equivalent degree, OR b. Master's degree from a program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Marriage and Family Therapy Education (COAMFTE) or an equivalent degree, OR c. Master's degree in Social Work from a graduate school accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) or an equivalent degree, OR d. Doctoral degree in clinical or counseling psychology from an American Psychological Association (APA) accredited university or professional school and a one-year APA accredited clinical internship 2. State or U.S. territory license or certification that provides legal authority to provide clinical services as an independent practitioner in the fields of Licensed Professional Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, Clinical Social Work, Clinical Psychology or Counseling Psychology. 3. When the state or U.S. territory licensing or certification requirements include a written examination, candidates for privileging, must have achieved a passing score on that examination. 4. Must have engaged in two years, full-time, post-masters supervised clinical experience. PPP applicants will be placed at the FPL, if determined Well Qualified (WQ). To receive priority consideration, the FPL must be the same grade level or equivalent of the retained grade or the grade held immediately prior to separation.
