This is a contingent position based upon contract award anticipated in June 2027
KBR is seeking a highly motivated and career-oriented Facility Manager to join our team supporting a government client with locations in Washington Metropolitan Area.
Key Responsibilities:
Direct the operations and maintenance of the site’s critical facilities guaranteeing the continuity of critical operations, with a commitment to reliability for around-the-clock mission support.
Provide management oversight to 24/7 operational support teams, technicians, and vendors, including guidance, training and performance feedback. Ensure all work performed complies with safety protocols and industry standards.
Implement an effective preventive maintenance program, including maintenance scheduling, monitoring environmental controls and troubleshooting equipment to prevent downtime.
Enforce operational and maintenance standards that support contractual requirements and comply with regulatory and environmental requirements.
Implement work processes and leverage data analysis to assist clients with achieving reliable equipment performance at cost-effective rates
Provide rapid response to emergencies and equipment failures to ensure operational continuity and safeguard data integrity. Implement disaster recovery protocols and enforce compliance to maintain operational reliability.
Draft comprehensive reports, business correspondence, and procedural manuals
Communicate effectively with diverse teams, responding to questions, and solving a range of operational issues
Apply corporate standards diligently and uphold strict adherence to environmental, health & safety, and regulatory requirements
Maintain a close watch on contractual obligations and stay informed of any regulatory changes that impact facility operations
Qualifications
Required:
Clearance Requirement: TS/SCI with polygraph
Must be a US Citizen
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from an accredited university.
Minimum of seven (7) years of relevant supervisory experience associated with managing 24/7 critical facilities operations.
Demonstrated supervisory experience with excellent organizational and leadership capabilities
Experience working in secured/restricted facilities environment with knowledge of the Uptime Institute Tier configuration topologies
Demonstrated knowledge, understanding, and experience with the concepts, design, and engineering of electrical power distribution from both power generation and public utility power to rack-mounted equipment
A thorough understanding of SCADA systems and Building Management Systems
Experience managing the staffing and the associated scheduling for a 24x7x365 mission-critical environment where continuous availability is essential and of the highest priority
Knowledge of process improvement models (e.g LEAN/Six Sigma, ISO 9000)
Experience developing Standard Operating Procedures and Emergency Response Procedures
Knowledge in MEP concepts of operation, and electrical generation procedures
Effective oral and written communications skills; ability to read and understand blueprints
Strong problem-solving skills and experience in managing critical deadlines
Project management, safety compliance, and vendor coordination capabilities.
