Salary Range: $106437 - $172980 Per Year

Job Summary: As an Executive Assistant for the Office of Acquisition Solutions Development, you will be responsible for carrying out a variety of functions, activities, and special assignments relating to the effectiveness and efficiency of the overall FC organization. Location of position: Federal Acquisition Service (FAS) - Office of Acquisition Solutions Development. We are currently filling one vacancy, but additional vacancies may be filled as needed.

Major Duties:

  • Provides management solutions and recommendations, advice and assistance on all programs/projects assigned. Organizes, manages and presents information to include recommendations, both formally and informally, via oral and written means. Based on expertise and organizational knowledge, provides executive advisory service to senior staff on management and administrative policies which support the accomplishment of the mission. Maintains the calendar for the Assistant Commissioner (AC) and other Senior Executive Service (SES) members as assigned, setting up, changing or rearranging appointments and meetings based on knowledge of SES priorities. Ensures all pertinent information and back-up material is collected and provided to the assigned SES prior to meetings. Schedules all travel for SES and reconciles all travel expenses. Manages Assistant Commissioner (AC) or assigned Senior Executive Service (SES) members' travel, meeting and conference attendance. Ensures all appropriate documentation is approved as required. Researches policies regarding travel and attendance to ensure all policies are adhered to. Coordinates with facilities for office space needs, equipment, and transportation.

The GS-13 salary range starts at $106,437.00 per year and is dependent upon duty location. To qualify, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level or higher in the Federal service. Specialized experience is experience serving as an assistant at the Executive level, with responsibility of carrying out a variety of sensitive administrative functions, activities, and special assignments in support of an agency/organization. This experience must include: Assisting in the assessment of operational processes in organizations and analyzing and recommending solutions to problems. Conducting pre and post-Leadership meeting work including decision implementation and follow up. Independently carrying out administrative functions including all aspects of meeting scheduling, coordination and travel reservations. Managing correspondence workload involving issues related to organization-wide initiatives to ensure deadlines are met and review procedures are followed. Coordinating and revising briefing papers, presentations, and other materials in a variety of formats in support of Leadership.
