Work Schedule: Full-time 

Compensation: $135,250.00-$150,407.04/annually (Tessera's compensation strategy is to position new employees between the minimum and midpoint of this range, depending on qualifications and experience.)

Tessera is seeking a proactive and knowledgeable Environmental and Energy Manager to join our team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing environmental compliance programs and energy management initiatives across our operations. You will ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local environmental regulations while driving sustainability and energy efficiency improvements that align with company and contract requirements.

Typical duties include but are not limited to:  

  • Ensure contractor operations adhere to the EMS, energy program, and sustainability requirements by conducting regular audits and assessments of practices.  

  • Develops, implements, and monitors innovative environmental strategies and policies that support sustainable practices within the organization.  

  • Creates and manage energy efficiency strategies to promote sustainable maintenance practices, evaluating current procedures for opportunities for improvement.  

  • Analyzes and revises standard operating procedures (SOPs), preventive maintenance procedures, and the product ordering process to facilitate the implementation of energy-efficient best practices.  

  • Maintains thorough knowledge of federal and state environmental regulations and energy policies applicable to the organization's operations. 

  • Provides training and support to contractors and staff on sustainability practices, EMS adherence, and regulatory compliance. 

Qualifications:   

  • Bachelor's degree in environmental science, Energy Management, Sustainability, or a related field (Equivalent combination of experience and education allowed) 

  • 0-3 Years in Environmental management, energy efficiency, or sustainability. 

  • AEE Certified Energy Manager (CEM) certification is preferred; must be obtained within one year of contract start. 

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.  

  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities. 

  • Proven project management skills and the ability to lead cross-functional teams.  

  • Proficiency in relevant software applications and tools for data analysis and reporting

  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. 

  • May be required to reach, kneel, walk, stand, and use repetitive motion for several hours at a time based on position duties. 

  • Work may require repetitive motion, reaching, lifting, kneeling, and walking. Standing or sitting for several hours at a time, climbing in and out of a vehicle, and up and down stairs may also be required.  

  • Must have the perseverance to work effectively under pressure for extended periods of time.
