This position is for an Engineering Project Support Principal Specialist to support engineering to achieve day-to-day objectives. This will be a new position utilizing onsite support for Strategic Defense Solutions at either our Largo, FL or Marlborough, MA sites. Relocation is not provided for this position.



In this role, you will provide analytical and program support and guidance to engineers on a variety of tasks such as: Plans and executes experiments and gathers, maintains, formats, compiles, and manipulates technical/analytical/programmatic data. Analyzes, maintains, compiles and formats data and design changes. Produce reports and engineering documentation. Acts as the communication liaison flowing overall objectives and tracking and monitoring progress between Engineering, Program Office, etc. to ensure the teams meet schedule requirements.

  • Staffing Support – assisting a CAM, projections are accurate
  • Requires the ability to be tenacious to get the answers needed to make decisions.
  • Ability to support engineering team business processes.
  • Must possess ability to coordinate and lead activities. Interfaces with Technicians, Engineers, Operations Project Specials (OPS), Program Managers, Engineering Managers, and Technical Project Chiefs to create/edit documentation.
  • Receives and communicates information accurately across teams.
  • Provides accurate and organized support to projects.
  • Bases decisions on factual information and considers alternative courses of action before reaching decisions.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate with people across multiple organizations.
  • Provides tools expertise and support to Engineering: MS Office Apps, requirements capture databases (JAMA, DOORS Next, etc.), change management and tracking tools (Jira, IBM EWM, etc.). Generate reports as required.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • U.S. Citizenship Required
  • Typically requires: Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of prior relevant experience OR  Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience
  • Ability to obtain a Top Security Clearance
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued Top Secret security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
