Job Summary
• Manages operational activities as needed to support product customization and supply chain services. Provides direct and ongoing leadership for a team of individual contributors designing and developing new products, software tools, and custom software images and updates. Coordinates projects for systems software, including operating systems, networking, utilities, databases, and Internet-related tools. Manages headcount, deliverables, schedules, and costs for multiple ongoing projects, ensuring that resources are appropriately allocated and that goals, objectives, timelines, and budgets are met in accordance with program and organizational roadmaps. Communicates project status and escalates issues to direct managers, program managers, and internal and external development partners. Manages relationships with outsourced partners and suppliers, including setting expectations regarding deliverables, product quality, schedules, and costs; ensures that team members are effectively communicating and collaborating with outsourced resources. Proactively identifies opportunities for process improvement and cost reductions opportunities. Provides people-care management for assigned team members, including hiring, setting and monitoring of annual performance plans, coaching, and career development; ensures that proper knowledge and career development tools are in place to support ongoing team member and process development.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coach high-performing teams; foster collaboration, engagement, and continuous learning.
  • Drive strategic workforce planning, resource prioritization, and capacity management across global locations.
  • Implement operational excellence initiatives, process automation, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Manage end-to-end project delivery including time, risk, and cost management; ensure adherence to timelines and budgets.
  • Oversee incident and escalation management, ensuring timely resolution and root cause analysis.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to align operational goals with business objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies, regulatory requirements, and risk governance frameworks.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, vendors, and partners; manage SLAs effectively.
  • Drive change management initiatives and ensure smooth adoption of new processes and technologies.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge repositories and training programs for operational continuity.
  • Monitor KPIs and leverage analytics for data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement.
  • Manage global delivery operations, ensuring cultural sensitivity and time zone alignment.
  • Oversee budgeting and cost control for operational activities.
  • Ensure business continuity planning and crisis management readiness.

Education & Experience Recommended

  • First level university, Bachelor's, or Master's degree in Engineering, or equivalent experience required.
  • Typically 14 or more years of related work experience, including 2 - 4 years of people management experience.

• Certified Software Systems Engineer (CSSE)
• Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP)
