About the Role
This position provides technical expertise for functional test development, implementation, and sustaining support for electronic control module manufacturing programs.
What You Will Do
- Provide Lead Test interface to R&D, and global Test Engineering in the implementation of End of Line functional testing of electronic control modules.
- Maintain Production Test Software and test plans used in production.
- Improve, create, and streamline new and existing software.
- Provide support in troubleshooting manufacturing test equipment.
- Independently evaluate, select, and apply higher level troubleshooting techniques, procedures, and criteria using judgment for continuous product/process improvement.
- Provide assistance on unusual technical problems.
- Responsible for training technicians and machine operators during product launches and trial builds.
- Compile and analyze engineering data; may analyze test and design data and prepare reports.
- Perform non-routine assignments of substantial variety and complexity.
- Perform work that involves common types of plans, investigations, surveys, structures, and equipment.
- Support off-shift test development and improvement as required (i.e. trial builds, line moves, etc.).
- Produce and maintain test equipment project timing plans, cost tracking etc. ensuring adherence to agreed cost and timing objectives.
- Validate and obtain approval/sign-off of test equipment in accordance with department/company procedures with documentation covering (as appropriate): Calibration routines, Measurement System Analysis (MSA / R&R), Risk Assessment, Maintenance schedule, Recommended spare parts.
- Establish and demonstrate test capability, and First Time Test Yield goals.
- Assist the Test Support and Maintenance departments both in their day-to-day activities and training.
- Work with outside suppliers to develop production test equipment.
What You Need to Be Successful
- Educational: BSEE.
- Experience: 3-7 years’ experience in Electronics Test or Design.
- Bilingual in Chinese and English.
- Good Analog and Digital design experience.
- Multi-tasking of multiple projects.
- Project and task organizational skills.
- MS Office applications (MS Word, Excel, Project scheduler).
- Understanding of Statistical data for Gage R&R and Cpk analysis.
- Thermal testing experience is desired.
- Knowledge of GenRad 228x test system is desired.
- OrCAD Schematic Capture and AutoCAD or AutoCAD LT experience is desired.
- Dynamic test knowledge is desired.
- People-oriented, a good communicator, team player.
- Confident, open and straightforward to present own opinions.
- Diligent, highly responsible & reliable.
- Committed to the company.
