Engineer Sales - MPS

Job Description:

Job Purpose:

The Sales Engineer will be responsible for promoting Terex products, driving sales growth, and providing technical support to customers. This role requires a blend of engineering expertise and strong sales acumen to meet customer needs and achieve business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, dealers, and channel partners.
  • Identify new business opportunities and generate leads within assigned territory.
  • Understand customer requirements and recommend suitable Terex equipment and solutions.
  • Prepare and deliver technical presentations and product demonstrations.
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts while ensuring profitability and compliance with company policies.
  • Coordinate with internal teams (engineering, production, logistics) for timely order fulfillment.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and provide feedback to management.
  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.

Required Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong technical knowledge of construction equipment, material handling machinery, or heavy engineering products.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to understand technical specifications and explain them to customers.
  • Negotiation and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Industrial Engineering or related field.
  • 2–5 years of experience in technical sales, preferably in construction equipment or heavy machinery industry.
  • Knowledge of dealer network and B2B sales in industrial sectors is an advantage.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

  • Sales revenue and growth targets.
  • Customer acquisition and retention.
  • Market share improvement in assigned territory.
