THE ROLE
Entegris is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for our Billerica, MA facility.
The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for sustaining and improving a given area of the Factory. The most pressing need is in the Liquid Filtration area of Manufacturing. This position is hands-on in an environment where change occurs frequently and is very fast paced. You will interact with people from the factory floor up through the Management ranks and possibly Customers. The product and process flow require a broad set of Engineering skills touching on Mechanical, Chemical and (the controls part) of Electrical Engineering challenges. The workcell environment requires tight cooperation with other Operations functions to deliver results.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Be responsible for yield, cost, quality and safety for manufacturing line(s)
Use technical knowledge of process and failure analysis techniques to help resolve internal and external Customer issues
Collaborate with workcell and development team members to identify needed capital equipment
Assist in design of new and replacement assets for improving cost, quality and safety
Manage capital projects, including acceptance/startup testing and turn over to Production
Design Preventative Maintenance for assets and turn processes over to Process Mechanics
Collaborate with Product Development teams to help Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and integrate operational lessons learned
Own the Statistical Process Control of your line(s) – including control plans, control limits, out of control action plans (OCAP’s) and process capability. This includes recommending and executing Continuous Improvement projects and activities
Maintain effective and efficient documentation including operating and test protocols
Troubleshoot and improve tools for chemical cleaning
Conduct Engineering presentations to both internal audience and Customers as the need dictates
Assist in factory layout and design of workflow improvements.
WHAT WE SEEK
Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering
5-7 years of related process engineering experience
A strong technical understanding of the general nature of controls strategy and implementation
Experience in the use of Quality and SPC tools and associated data analysis
Excellent Project Management and strong communication skills
Knowledge of a broad range of software for data analysis and presentation. Minitab expertise is a strong plus. MS Excel and Access skills highly valued as well;
Strong problem-solving skills and demonstrated use of associated tools;
Ability to adapt changing responsibilities quickly based on business needs
Knowledge of the semiconductor industry is a plus
Six Sigma Green/Black Belt Certification a plus
CAD/SolidWorks experience a plus
