Role Description: Salesforce Professional Services is seeking an Engagement Delivery Director who shares our vision of bringing the power of Salesforce to our customers across a diverse portfolio. Engagement Delivery Directors drive successful customer outcomes with our implementations and lead and run complex, enterprise and strategic programmes of work.


Your Impact
● As the overall Leader of the programme team, you will build and manage large and complex teams, possess excellent leadership skills, ensure strong communication channels, and give clarity, motivation and direction to the team throughout the engagement
● You will own the relationships with the Customer, partners and third party providers from a Delivery perspective and provide leadership, advice and guidance to ensure ongoing alignment and shared success.
● Build and nurture a high functioning multi-stakeholder governance framework and perform programme (and project management) activities where necessary to ensure adherence to the Salesforce methodology and project gates and governance
● You will be fully accountable for Programme financials, reporting and delivery health, which includes:
○ Building and leading programme and planning activities; supervising and
reviewing progress and timelines; adjusting schedules and plans as needed;
ensuring on time and on budget delivery of programmes and projects
○ Supervising utilisation of resources in alignment with resource allocation and
budget. This includes on time entry and approvals for project timesheets
○ Effective risk and issue management, identifying and resolving issues to ensure
project success
● Facilitate requirements gathering and assist with crafting project deliverables, and Salesforce documentation as needed
● Being an extension to the account team to extend the Salesforce footprint
Basic qualifications
● + 10 years in Programme Management leading complex programmes of work with direct responsibility for running teams including teams of Project Managers
● Ownership / experience of Strategic Governance Frameworks and Risk Management
● Proven history of delivering high quality results on schedule and within budget
● Outstanding and effective interpersonal skills; along with strong communication skills both verbal and written.
● Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, high energy, team-oriented environment
● Degree or equivalent relevant experience required. Experience will be evaluated based on the core competencies for the role (e.g. extracurricular leadership roles, military experience, volunteer roles, work experience, etc.)
● Available to be onsite with customers as needed
Preferred qualifications
● Project Management Methodology Certification such as Prince2 or PMP
● Agile development certifications such as SAFe or Scrum
● Consulting experience through a system integrator or software vendor
● Experience managing Salesforce implementations
● Experience and knowledge of managing Public Sector or Health & Life Sciences programmes
