Job Description Summary

The Energy Marshal is the on-site authority for energy isolation and safe energization during data centre construction and commissioning. This role leads the LOTO program, governs SOP/MOP/EOP execution, and ensures all electrical/mechanical system transitions—from construction to IST—are performed without unplanned outages.

About the Role:

  • Energy Isolation & LOTO Leadership Own and enforce the Lockout/Tagout program, including energy source identification, zero-energy verification, and compliance audits to prevent uncontrolled energy releases.
  • Mission-Critical Procedure Management Develop, review, and execute SOP/MOP/EOP for energization, de-energization, and cutovers; ensure strict adherence during critical work windows to maintain Tier reliability.
  • Risk & Safety Governance Apply electrical safety standards (NFPA 70E, IEC), arc-flash hazard analysis, and PTW systems; integrate HSE best practices to protect personnel and equipment
  • Technical Expertise & Problem Solving Interpret single-line diagrams, isolation maps, and commissioning sequences; resolve discrepancies and implement contingency plans under time-sensitive conditions.
  • Leadership & Communication Lead pre-task briefings, coach contractors on mission-critical standards, and coordinate multi-stakeholder teams to ensure safe, efficient execution of high-risk activities.

About You:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (mandatory).
  • 5–8+ years in data centre or heavy industrial projects, with 3+ years leading LOTO programs.
  • Experience in HSE programs is a strong added value.
