Real Projects, Real Impact: Work on live projects that are critical to the success of our organization, giving you concrete experience and outcomes to be proud of.
This position is accountable for assisting with the analysis and management of a portfolio of assigned data projects focused on residential heat pump water heaters and HVAC systems. The successful candidate will assist the team with identifying and evaluating opportunities that align with Duke Energy program guidelines, comparing these with the highest efficiency HVAC and HP Water heater systems sold by manufacturers in relevant Florida markets. These responsibilities will include data collection, statistical analysis, identifying opportunities, report creation, progress tracking and reporting through proactive collaborations with the business/functional organization, working with external sources (such as vendors, consultants) and data scientists in Market Solution Analytics.
The Data Analyst Intern will work under the guidance of an experienced Duke Energy Program Manager and be responsible for supporting essential processes, communicate, or report on weekly data analysis findings and regular project updates.
Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Collaborate with various teams within the Product and Services non-dispatchable operations gaining a comprehensive view of Energy Efficiency department within the energy sector.
Basic/Required Qualifications
Currently enrolled and pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Construction Management, Business Administration, Project Management, or other related degree.
Must not graduate prior to August 2026
Cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher
Desired Qualifications:
Working knowledge of statistical analysis.
Demonstrated strategic thinking and financial analysis expertise.
Knowledge and experience working with Microsoft office.
Professional and effective written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
Self-driven, motivated, and proactive.
Working Conditions
Must be able to work full-time (40 hours/week) throughout the duration of the summer.
Office environment
Hybrid mobility classification - work will be performed from both remote and onsite locations.
Candidates who are hired for a hybrid role and reside outside of 50 miles from their assigned work location may be eligible for a housing stipend. This is a one-time payment to help offset housing & relocation expenses and will be determined at time of offer.
